PERSOL and Fremantle Dockers Partnership

We have been a proud partner since the AFLW leagues’ beginning in 2017 (and clubs’ inception in 1995). The connection between PERSOL and the Fremantle Dockers goes beyond the field, reflecting the belief that empowered individuals make a collective impact. Our support of AFLW over the past seven years has championed diversity and inclusion in the workplace and helped build the profile for women’s sport. Our partnership reflects the belief that every person, regardless of gender, should have the chance to excel and be celebrated for their achievements.

International Women’s Day

PERSOL continue to partner with the Fremantle Dockers to host annual International Women’s Day event, celebrating women’s achievements and calling for gender parity. Our 2023 luncheon featured bestselling author and two-time World Para Surfing champion Sam Bloom who, inspired guests with her story of triumph over adversity.

“This was a fantastic IWD event – such an inspiring selection of speakers. Congratulations and thank you.”

Community Engagement

Beyond the nail-biting matches and moments, PERSOL and the Fremantle Dockers are deeply engaged in the community. Together, we organise youth clinics, workshops, and events that inspire the next generation to dream big and pursue their passions fearlessly.

Breaking Down barriers in the Pilbara

Programmed teamed up with Fremantle’s community team for a three-day roadshow in Karratha, working with young females in the area to showcase the career opportunities available in non-traditional fields.

Both Fremantle and Programmed work in industries that in the past have been dominated by men but are enjoying significant and important growth in female participation.

The team visited Karratha High School and female community football and Indigenous groups to showcase the opportunities available to women both in sport and in local industries in the Kimberley, where Programmed have been established since 1999.
